Together, we can shape the future.As a part of the West Coast Operations Team, the Director of Operations role will empower you to make a positive impact on the operations team and in our sustainability efforts.
Your Impact in This Role
As the Director of Operations, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- P & L Delivery
- With the Director Commercial, responsible for preparing the annual budget for the cluster and delivering the P/L accordingly.
- Manage, allocate, monitor, evaluate and optimize the resources of the production facilities including materials, people and equipment.
- Accountable for asset reliability and availability, expenses, delivering operations/optimization objectives, product quality, safety and business improvements.
- People Management
- Attract, lead, coach, appraise and develop the operations team and business services team ensuring staffing and stimulating talent management through reporting lines.
- Create and maintain a good work climate, stimulate empowerment, engagement, and cooperation, fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion, employee well-being and continuous improvement.
- Executional Excellence
- Establish and maintain a continuous improvement culture, monitor and analyse the company’s systems and processes, identify potential areas of improvement and formulate improvement concepts in order to ensure customer satisfaction and save, ecological and efficient processes in full compliance with the applicable rules and standards.
What You Bring to the Table
- BS in Sustainability, Mining or Technology
- Hands-on experience in the cement, mortars, building products or mineral industry.
- Experience in waste management is considered a plus.
- Fluency writing and speaking English required. Ability to speak other languages is an advantage.
- Must live on the west coast preferably in Fairfield or Commerce, CA or willing to relocate.
