About the job
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, timely and accurate preparation of reports, analysis and reconciliations of our Hungarian entity as per Group closing requirements. The Finance Manager will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and tax or statistical reporting. This role will be partnering with various finance and functional teams within the Group and supporting finance and accounting simplification and standardization initiatives of the region.

Your essential responsibilities
- General accounting of Hungarian business operations (booking journal entries, accruals, etc)
- Processing supplier invoices, bank transactions and travel expenses
- Manages billing to external customers and intercompany
- Ensures timely, and accurate preparation of activities required for Group month-end closing
- Prepares monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis and other ad-hoc reports, explains variances arising in Group management reports
- Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accouts
- Monitors cash flow, liquidity and financial performance of the Hungarian entity
- Coordination of the payroll process and the HR administration with an external service provider
- Preparation of statutory financial statements under Hungarian GAAP
- Preparation and submission of tax returns (VAT, CPT, and other obligatory filings under local requirements)
- Oversees intercompany activities of the region, ensures proper eliminations on a monthly basis, reviews/resolves intercompany aged items by engaging with regional teams
- Identifies process improvement opportunities and participates/drives finance and accounting related simplification and standardization initiatives of the region
Your background And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certificate and registration are essential
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Proficiency in accounting softwares and financial management tools
- Fluent in English and Hungarian
