This is a hybrid role working from our Alpharetta, GA office.
SUMMARY:
The Database Administrator is responsible for the management of all database systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Database systems: Maintain the following database systems within AWS: Oracle, MS SQL Server and Postgres
- Performance tuning: Hands on experience with tuning and optimizing query and storage performance in Oracle, SQL Server and Postgres
- Monitoring: Experience monitoring the Oracle, MS SQL Server and Postgres RDBMS systems utilizing the appropriate monitoring tools available for each system.
- Backup/Recovery: Hands on implementing and maintaining backup and recovery processes in Oracle, MS SQL Server and Postgres.
- Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve intermediate database issues.
- On-Call Rotation: Experience supporting 24x7 high volume mission-critical production databases.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience (3+ years of experience).
