OVERVIEW: 


The Medical Records Associate is responsible for gathering the medical records that accompany any IME and sending them to the Reviewing Physician in a timely manner so that the Reviewers can incorporate them into their Report.  It is very important that the records are sent to the physician in an organized fashion and in a timely manner so that the physician does not cancel the examination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Accessing the Document Manager in our proprietary software to retrieve the medical records.
  • Identifying the method of delivery for every physician.
  • Identifying when records are required to be sorted.
  • Reaching out to the requestor/client when the medical records are not available.
  • Sending the medical records to the physician in the correct and appropriate manner and method (email, fax, mail).
  • System documentation with appropriate outcome and notes with number of pages received and summary of medical record content sent.
  • Communicate with the Reviewing Physicians when there is any issue with the medical records.  If needed, involve management for any escalated situations.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on your own as well as be part of a team.
