IT Systems Administrator 


The IT Systems Administrator role is responsible for managing and maintaining our organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring its functionality, security, and efficiency. This includes installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and hardware/software systems, as well as implementing security protocols to protect against cyber threats. The IT Systems Administrator role involves monitoring network traffic, detecting and responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Additionally, the IT Systems Administrator troubleshoots the system issues, performs routine maintenance, and conducts regular backups. The IT Systems Administrator also use monitoring tools to track system performance and security events, providing reports to management, and collaborate with other IT teams to align security measures with business needs and regulatory requirements. This role requires both strong system administration skills and a deep understanding of cyber security practices. The IT Systems Administrator Role will report to the VP, IT Department.

  • Individual will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing ERP (QuickBooks) & MRP (Job Boss) systems
  • Conduct gap analysis on internal systems; assist as needed in the design and implementation of new business processes which require IT support
  • Provide training and support to end users on new software and solutions
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify areas where technology can be employed to improve business operations
  • Lead role in the design and implementation of IT solutions to further simplify and improve existing and new processes, as well as identify risk and opportunities as it relates to the ERP and MRP for the business
  • Analyze software and hardware issues while providing timely solutions to maintain system performance
  • Partner with functional leadership, vendors, and IT professionals to understand technological needs and provide ongoing support to implement the tool across the business.
  • Conduct due diligence in evaluating existing and new IT related contracts and communicate financial impact to Frontier leadership team
  • Identify opportunities for system upgrades
  • Organize work effort for IT, business, and ERP vendor resources to reach end goals, through clear roles and responsibility definition.
  • Escalate and break down barriers to meet timeline, budget, and quality commitments. Identify and proactively manage project risks.
  • Support overall business change initiative, led by business sales/marketing team. Facilitate cross functional discussions and strategic agreements.
  • Serve as the IT liaison for IT related matters between Frontier Technologies and parent company, Gexpro Services

Qualifications


  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry supply chain management, markets and customers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate and influence across all levels of the business
  • Strong knowledge of contractual language & risks
  • Strong computer skills, including expertise with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in ever changing environment
  • Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams.
  • Ability to present complex issues to leadership teams.
  • Self-directed and follow up skills.
  • Ability to quickly gain respect to drive change.
  • Ability to energize others to adopt new processes.
  • Detail oriented 
  • 5 or more years’ experience
  • Bachelor's degree ... advanced degree in IT preferred
  • Continuous improvement methodology (Six Sigma, Leann, etc.) is a plus
  • Previous experience holding a significant role in large projects.
  • Previous exposure to business process and data across manufacturing plant
