Here is what you'll get to do during this internship:
- Contribute 40 hours of development time per week to digitalization and automation initiatives for our new clinical genomic testing product. This position consists of approximately 80% product management and 20% coding.
- Software Product Management:
- Work with the lab operations team to collect requirements for, design, and validate solutions for digitalizing benchwork records.
- Work with our contracted software team in China to make sure the requirements are developed accurately and efficiently.
- Internet of Things: Work with the lab operations and automation teams to design, set up, and validate solutions for integrating the Lab Information Management System (LIMS) with QC instruments and lab robots.
- Quality Assurance: Prepare QA documents associated with the projects above.
- Contribute to other projects as needed.
- The internship opportunity will last until the end of July 2025.
And experience we’re looking for:
- M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese.
- Experience on database construction and administration.
- Experience as a developer using Linux, Python, SQL, API frameworks such as Flask, REST, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Experience of constructing web services from scratch.
- Detail oriented.
- Good Communication Skills
