Position Overview
We are seeking a people-savvy, detail-oriented Business Operations Associate to join a growing startup. This role will be instrumental in supporting our Business Operations function, which includes people operations and administration, as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
People Operations
- Assist with full-cycle recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, candidate screens and managing candidate communications
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding procedures, ensuring smooth transitions for all team members
- Maintain People Operations documentation, employee records, and People Operations systems with high attention to detail
- Coordinate company culture initiatives including team on-sites and events
- Assist with benefits administration and answer employee questions about policies and procedures
- Help develop and implement People Operations processes and policies as the company grows
Business Operations
- Manage and maintain vendor relationships
- Assist with basic accounting tasks including Accounts Payable, ensuring vendors are paid and invoices align with our projected budget for the year
- Support project management initiatives by tracking deadlines and deliverables
- Help prepare reports and presentations for leadership team
- Coordinate with various departments to streamline operational processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years of HR or related administrative experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Experience with HRIS systems is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
