What You’ll Do
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by leading ISO/FDA trainings for supply chain, coaching and communicating ISO 9001and 13485 requirements and expectations to suppliers; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing supplier contributions; enforcing quality management system policies and procedures with suppliers.
- Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing supplier action plans; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Develops supply chain (performance line) quality assurance plans by conducting risk/hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring and updating quality procedures, supplier corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
- Validates quality processes by establishing performance line supplier specifications and quality attributes; Documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
- Maintains and improves quality by participation/completing compliance and surveillance audits of new or existing supplier(s); investigating customer complaints; collaborating with product owners and other quality members to develop new procedures and processes.
- Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, product returns, recalls, and corrective actions.
- Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in supply chain and quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Tactical
- Analyze current return process and return metrics; engage with quality team to build out short, mid, and long-term improvement plans.
- Work with business groups to implement improvements in customer and supplier returns process.
- Work with quality & supply chain teams to create and implement supplier vetting, corrective action and quality measurement program.
- Develop and provide supplier performance scoring quarterly; identify top/low performing (200 SKUs) suppliers monthly.
- Work with quality team in managing internal/external (Quality Assurance Bulletins).
- Conduct supplier self-assessments (Performance line & top suppliers) every 3 years.

What You’ll Bring
Your Background
- Role will be based out of the Midwest region (MN preferred) however must be willing to travel approximately 30% as necessary to other locations.
- BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of supplier quality assurance experience, to include a minimum of 3 years in a lead role or management position.
- Must have Regulatory & ISO compliance/medical device industry experience.
