Somethings is on a mission to end the youth mental health crisis by reducing the suicide rate for teens back to 2008 levels of 6.8 per 100,000 (1) for the 42 Million teens in the U.S.To combat this, we are creating the first scaled network of Certified Peer Specialists and building the most engaging mental health experience in the world for teenagers. We’ve found deep resonance with Medicaid Managed Care Organizations and State Health Agencies and we’re scaling to quickly towards serving hundreds of thousands of teens.
Role Overview:
As a Clinical Operations Lead, you will be the driving force behind Somethings’ as we grow to serve thousands of teens. We are looking for someone who wants to scale up their clinical impact and help supervise our amazing Certified Peer Specialist Mentors, while also flex their product and operational skills to drive meaningful impact for the business.You’re a fit for this role if love clinical work, enjoy managing people, and love building new things. You care deeply about others and want to help as many people as possible.
You’re highly organized, know how to document your work excellently, and know how to coach others to be as effective as possible when delivering mental healthcare. You love experimenting and trying new things, iterating on things that aren’t working, and getting to the best outcomes.You’re a fit if you have a mindset of “i’ll do whatever it takes” and can hop on odd jobs as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coach Somethings Peer Support Specialist Mentors on the following schedule:
- Monday through Thursday: 4 PM ET - 10 PM ET
- Friday: 4PM ET - 7PM ET
- Sunday: 4PM ET - 7PM ET
- Manage Mentors and ensure that Mentors are exceeding their expectations around professionalism, role requirements, and more.
- Drive deep partnerships with Emergency Rooms & Hospitals in North Carolina by driving 100 referrals from these sources by July 1, 2025.
- Support the Clinical Operations team as we scale up to meet the demand we are seeing (we have doubled our patient population every month for the last 4 months).
Requirements:
- You are a licensed mental health provider. Bonus points if you are licensed in North Carolina.
- You have experience supervising clinicians, peers, or other mental health providers.
- You have experience working on a clinical operation at an early stage company.
- You have driven impactful partnerships for the organizations that you work at.
- You are an expert in mental health interventions.
