Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Enterprise Implementation Leader to spearhead the integration efforts between electronic medical record (EMR) systems and our laboratory's patient testing services and healthcare digital platforms at Baylor Genetics. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare IT systems and major EMR vendors, along with a proven track record of successfully managing customer facing EMR integration projects within the healthcare industry. This role works with Personal Health Information (PHI) on a regular basis, both in paper and electronic form, and therefore training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training, and security training will be required upon hire.

Education:
Experience:
- At least 7 years of experience working in EMR interoperability; experience with Epic's Aura platform is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, or DICOM.
- Working knowledge of various EHR platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts) and their functionalities.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing healthcare data privacy and security, including HIPAA, HITECH, and GDPR.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex integration projects from initiation to completion.
- Excellent customer-facing skills with the ability to guide the pre-sales process as well as the implementation effort.
- Strong business process design skills
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team which works well cross-functionally
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
- Engage regularly with customers from the pre-sales process through implementation to ongoing support.
- Engage with external customers and key stakeholders to gather feedback on business processes and workflows.
Business Process Design:
- Design business processes and workflows to support the successful and scalable management of EMR implementation engagements.
Product Feedback:
- Collaborate with the product management organization to provide voice of customer on product performance and roadmap
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, including sales, product management, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and effective execution of EMR implementations
Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with product management to monitor integration performance metrics and identify opportunities for enhancement or optimization. Design outreach and targeting initiatives with the commercial team.
