Are you ready to embrace the future with us?About the roleJob Type: Full-timeJob Overview:The Financial Director for Latin America will be responsible for overseeing and directing the financial operations for the region, with a primary focus on Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia.

This role demands a strategic, hands-on leader with strong financial management expertise and experience navigating the complexities of these key markets. The ideal candidate will be highly independent, capable of working collaboratively across departments, and proficient in English communication to collaborate effectively with global and regional teams. This position will play a critical role in driving financial performance, strategy, and business growth within the Latin American region.Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Leadership:
  • Develop and execute the region’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall global and local business objectives.
  • Provide strong financial leadership, guiding the finance teams in Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia to drive business performance and long-term growth.
  • Ensure alignment of financial goals and KPIs across the region, providing actionable insights for senior leadership and local business units.
  • Regional Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for the Latin American region, with an in-depth understanding of local market dynamics in Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the region, providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring the accuracy of data and meeting local regulatory standards.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Oversee compliance with local and international financial regulations, including tax laws, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and other legal requirements in Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks specific to the Latin American markets, ensuring the protection of the company’s assets and financial integrity.
  • Ensure the finance team adheres to strong internal controls and reporting protocols.
  • Hands-on Financial Management:
  • Maintain direct involvement in the day-to-day financial operations, providing guidance on financial forecasting, financial analysis, and operational reporting.
  • Actively engage with key stakeholders in Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia to ensure financial processes are optimized and meet business needs.
  • Implement, monitor, and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with other regional and global departments (e.g., operations, HR, IT) to ensure financial strategies are integrated with overall business goals.
  • Communicate complex financial data and strategies clearly and concisely to senior leadership both in Latin America and globally.
  • Deliver presentations in English to global management teams, ensuring a shared understanding of regional financial performance and business initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of7-10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a focus on the Latin American markets, specifically inMexico, Argentina, and Colombia.
  • Strong experience infinancial planning and analysis, compliance, and reportingwithin Latin America.
  • In-depth knowledge oflocal tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting practicesfor Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia.
  • Proven experience in leading finance teams across multiple countries and regions, with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluency in Englishis required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with both local and global teams.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with hands-on involvement in day-to-day financial operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
