The
Sr. Medical Coder
is responsible for providing medical coding support to assigned agencies. Key Responsibilities
- Make accurate ICD-10-CM code assignments.
- Review OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) and assign accurate codes supported by the documentation.
- Identify viable primary diagnosis and procedures as well as pertinent secondary diagnosis and procedures.
- Adhere to coding compliance regulations and internal policies to ensure accurate billing for our client agencies.
- Review, interpret, and recommend plan of care corrections as needed.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Required qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma
- 2-4 of Relevant Work Experience
