Finance Manager

Summary of Position:


The Finance Manager role will involve analyzing and appraising investment opportunities, executing capital markets activity, supporting a number of commercial activities, leading capital budgeting processes, and managing investor relations. All activities will support the development of existing platforms and the addition of new platforms under the WaterBridge corporate structure.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


The following represents most of the position's duties but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as corporate policies.As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating financial analyses (building financial models, valuation analyses, merger modeling, corporate finance solutions, etc.).
  • Creating financial modeling focusing on upstream drivers of transactions and day-to-day modeling and analysis, including the corporate model.
  • Working on multiple functional teams (finance, commercial, treasury, investor relations, etc.).
  • Tracking business development (collecting research, analyzing industry trends, etc.).
  • Assisting in commercial activities with a focus on upstream analysis.
  • Assisting in strategic analysis of opportunities across North America.
  • Assists with value-added projects such as supporting regional leadership in developing strategic plans, mergers and acquisitions, project development, asset optimization, restructurings, and building relationships with off-takers, landowners, and state and local regulators.
  • Evaluating corporate and asset transactions and their structures.
  • Working closely with senior management to evaluate corporate strategies and provide supporting analytics of the financial impact of the execution of such strategies.
  • Prepare and steward investment memoranda for senior management and Board of Director meetings.
  • Assisting with investor relations efforts, including investor presentations, conferences, and press releases.

Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or accounting.
  • Must have at least 3 – 6 years of relevant work experience in finance, preferably in investment banking and/or private equity, within the oil and gas industry. Candidates with similar experience within a corporate organization (preferably in E&P, midstream, or OFS) will also be considered.
  • Experience running complex analysis, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, etc.
  • Ability to take initiative and be accountable for running a process to a conclusion.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to excel in a rigorous and fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to anticipate and proactively resolve issues.
  • Willingness to devote the time necessary to complete assignments promptly and professionally.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate and present complex information to key internal and external stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Experience running complex analysis, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, etc.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Proficient in using and applying Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
