WHAT YOU’LL DO
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Intern to join our DTI team. This long-term internship will be evaluated every semester to ensure continuous growth and alignment with our organizational goals. The Intern will assist with inventory and asset management, physical tasks and logistics, technical support, and various administrative duties.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory and Asset Management:
- Declutter the storage room and dispose of obsolete equipment.
- Recover unused hard phones and ensure all devices are inventoried and tagged.
- Test equipment functionality.
- Prepare asset management records for import into Jira Service Management.
Physical Tasks and Logistics:
- Move items within the office and coordinate with relevant departments.
- Manage the shipping and recovery process for terminations.
Technical Support and Service Desk Operations:
- Triage and assign tickets, providing Tier 1 support.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Unlock user accounts and manage access.
- Wipe and upgrade PCs, and assist users with the transition.
Administrative and Support Tasks:
- Create employee badges.
- Retrieve camera footage upon authorized requests.
- Cover responsibilities when others are out of office, including user creation and some system administration.
- Coordinate account setups across departments.
WHO YOU ARE
Key Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher in college or equivalent at a Technical College.
- Degree path in Information Technology or a similar field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
WHERE YOU’LL WORK
- This position requires reporting to the office and being integral to a larger team.
- The role is fully on-site, with no hybrid or remote work options.
- The working environment is business casual.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit for extended periods without issue.
- Extensive use of fingers and hands for typing.
- Extensive use of eyes to analyze documents both electronically and physically for long periods.
- Ability to lift, stoop, and move up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Comfortable running cable and other items in confined spaces.
