Role and Responsibilities

·Track project timelines to plan for regular reviews and ensure client deliverables are ready on time

Perform or review various NERC Compliance studies: FAC-008, PRC-005, PRC-019, PRC-024, PRC-025, PRC-026, PRC-027, MOD-025, MOD-026, MOD-027 and MOD-032.
Perform high level bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSS/e, PSCAD, Aspen, ETAP and PSLF.
Review engineering studies for new and emerging technologies such as inverters, or Battery Energy Storage Systems, which may require interaction with equipment vendors to complete the analyses.
Process, generate and maintain data as required for other engineering related studies.
Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.

Required Qualification & Education

·Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

·Minimum 2 years renewable energy industry experience in power systems engineering, NERC compliance engineering, or engineering operations roles

Experience Required:

·2+ years’ work experience in power systems engineering

Experience Preferred

·2+ years actively supporting a NERC compliance program

Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications Preferred

·Technical knowledge of power systems operations and NERC Reliability Standards

Company/Industry Related Knowledge

·Excellent organizational and planning skills

·Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

·Strong interpersonal skills

·Additional knowledge of ERCOT, CAISO, and other ISO/RTO markets, State Public Utilities Commissions, and IA/PAA operational requirements desirable
