ROLE:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with at least 3 years of experience in a national, multi-location business environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience with state revenue tax reporting, financial analysis, and a proven track record in automating and increasing efficiency in accounting processes. You will work closely with our finance team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion of various accounting tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and manage financial statements for multiple company locations.
- Perform state revenue tax reporting for various jurisdictions across the U.S.
- Utilizing bill pay systems, such as Melio, to pay vendors.
- Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Automate accounting processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Manage and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy across multiple locations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes.
- Provide support during audits and prepare necessary documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, in a company with locations in 10+ states.
- Strong experience in state revenue tax reporting.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Experience with bill pay platforms such as Melio.
- Proven ability to automate accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Solid technical knowledge of CRMs and accounting systems.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
