We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Associate Product Manager
to own the development of our Compensation Planning and Analytics product (BetterComp). In this role, you will align with the vision and go-to-market strategy, distill this into a coherent roadmap, and drive the execution to ensure we meet customer needs and achieve business objectives. You will leverage lean product development principles to facilitate rapid iteration and continuous improvement, delivering capabilities that delight our users.
What you bring:
- 0-2 years of product management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA desirable.
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software environments.
- Strong understanding of compensation planning and analytics concepts and practices, and the salary surveys ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and metrics to drive product decisions and validate assumptions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, customer success, and support.
- Familiarity with lean product development principles and methodologies.
What you’ll do:
Product Vision and Roadmap Development:Help refine and articulate the product vision and strategy for the BetterComp product, aligning with customer needs and market opportunities.Develop and maintain a prioritized product roadmap that reflects business goals, customer insights, and industry trends.Product Ownership:Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in compensation planning and analytics, ensuring a deep understanding of the industry, best practices, and user needs.Verify product features based on their usefulness and fit for customers, ensuring alignment with the overall product vision.Lean Product Development:Foster a culture of rapid experimentation, validated learning, and iterative development within the team.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and roll out features incrementally, ensuring a quick feedback loop to assess feature effectiveness and customer satisfaction.Customer Engagement and Success:Actively engage with customers to gather insights, validate assumptions, and understand their needs and pain points.Collaborate with Customer Success and Support teams to ensure customers are effectively adopting and leveraging the platform for their compensation planning needs.Data-Driven Decision Making:Gather, analyze, and interpret actionable metrics to inform product decisions and guide iterative improvements.Use data to evaluate the impact of product changes, measuring success against key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjusting the roadmap as necessary.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Translate customer needs into product requirements and specifications, serving as the liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and design teams to implement product capabilities, ensuring alignment and clear communication throughout the development process.Continuous Improvement:Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies relevant to compensation planning and analytics.Champion a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, adaptability, and a focus on delivering customer value.Ownership and Advocacy:Be the foremost authority on the product, representing its capabilities and value proposition to internal stakeholders and external customers.Advocate for the product's needs and priorities in strategic discussions, ensuring it receives the necessary resources and attention to succeed.Why you’ll love it:

- Base salary range for this position: $85,000 - $115,000 (annually based on location)
