You are comfortable working with established platforms like .NET, SQL Server, and Oracle, while also staying on the cutting edge with new ETL tools such as dbt, Apache Airflow, and Google BigQuery. With a deep understanding of data integration and transformation, you’re capable of balancing ongoing support for current processes with the drive to adopt and implement future-focused technology solutions. Your ability to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams allows you to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Support and maintain existing data processes utilizing .NET, SQL, and Oracle technologies.Lead the transition to new ETL frameworks, such as dbt, Apache Airflow, and Google BigQuery, to modernize the current process.Design, build, and optimize data workflows, ensuring seamless data integration across both legacy and new systems.Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex data-related issues.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and recommend best practices for data engineering and integration.Mentor and guide junior engineers in the team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.WHAT YOU’LL NEED:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.• 8-12 years of experience in data operations, data engineering, or a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership and project management within the data engineering domain.• Strong expertise in data integration, transformation, and scheduling processes using tools like Oracle, BigQuery, SQL Server, and Python for scripting and automation.• Proficiency in ELT/ETL processes and tools such as Informatica, DBT, Airbyte, Singer.io, Meltano, Apache Airflow or similar within the context of data engineering.• In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts, practices, and technologies relevant to data engineering.• Knowledge of data quality and governance principles, with experience implementing best practices within the data lifecycle.• Familiarity with cloud-based environments and technologies, including data platforms and services, as they relate to data engineering.• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.• Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive results in a fast-paced environment within the Interface team.WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?At Zinnia, you collaborate with smart, creative professionals who are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technologies, deeper data insights, and enhanced services to transform how insurance is done.
