The Role:
Pachama is looking for a contract Payroll Specialist with hands-on expertise in Rippling to join our Finance team. This role will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and providing support for payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of payroll operations, tax regulations, and employee benefits administration.
Location:
This role is a contract fully-remote position, ideally working in PT/ET timezones.

What You Will Help Us With:
- Process end-to-end payroll for employees using Rippling while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain payroll records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and system-related issues.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to manage deductions, benefits, and compensation adjustments.
- Prepare payroll reports and ensure proper documentation for audits.
- Stay up to date with payroll regulations, tax compliance, and labor laws.
- Assist in payroll system configurations and process improvements within Rippling.
Experience & Skills We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with Rippling payroll software is required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
