Northeast Aero is currently seeking skilled and motivated bench technicians with
Hydraulic component repairexperience.
Our ideal candidate is a team player that has a hunger for knowledge and is interested in aviation repair. They will be responsible for the test, tear down, inspection, repair, overhaul, and modification of hydraulic components, primarily focusing on pumps, actuators, servo-valves, and power control packs. This role requires a strong understanding of hydraulic systems, particularly those related to aircraft flight controls, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex problems. On the job training and oversight is provided by NEACO management.
Essential Responsibilities

- Operate Hydraulic Test Stands.
- Perform test, tear down, inspection, repair, overhaul, and modification of hydraulic pumps (electric motor driven, spline, and gear driven), actuating cylinders, Power Control Packs, and Servo-valves.
- Adhere to prescribed work methods and procedures.
- Maintain accurate test records and files.
- Possess a working knowledge of flight control electro/hydraulic servo systems, their operation, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair basic problems.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of LVDT, RVDT, Servo Valves, and Proximity Switches as applied to flight control hydraulic system components.
- Have recent hands-on experience with commercial or military heavy aircraft flight control servo hydraulics.
- Set up tests and perform evaluations on products and components as required.
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and suggest application of standard and non-standard techniquesTest and repair aircraft components in accordance with company provided data (manuals, drawings, procedures, etc.) and company provided training.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area.
- Correctly, concisely, and legibly fill out all company forms and reports as required by management (both written and online).
- Work with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.
- Work with management to develop new processes and procedures as necessary.
- Assist in basic shop upkeep and maintenance including routine cleaning of the technician’s work area and periodic shop maintenance assignments.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including management, customer reps, FAA inspectors, airline inspectors and similar (training provided).
Experience and Skills
- The ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings as well as a basic background check.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the test, tear down, inspection, repair, overhaul, and modification of hydraulic pumps, actuators, servo-valves, and power control packs.
- Experience operating Hydraulic Test Stands.
- Familiarity with LVDT, RVDT, Servo Valves, and Proximity Switches.
- Experience with commercial or military heavy aircraft flight control servo hydraulics is highly desired.
- Technician candidate must own his or her own set of basic hand tools.

- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Applicants must be able to read and thoroughly understand technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and instructions. A pre-employment technical skills and comprehension test will be required.
- Interested individuals must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized.
- Experience using a computer.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- The ability to walk up stairs
- Manual dexterity (must be able to hold certain components with one hand while moving tools around with the other)
- Constant hand manipulation of small to medium components
- Sitting or standing for long periods of time
- Frequent use of hand tools and other repair equipment
- Use of chemicals for cleaning, lubricating and painting
Education
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Associates degree or higher in a related technical field preferred.
- Trade schooling or related industry experience required.
- A&P license/certificate is not required (but it is a plus).
- This position is considered safety sensitive and will be part of FAA DOT Drug Abatement Program so must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug or alcohol testing.
