As a senior trading associate you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Equity and Options Trading Operations team. This includes building scalable infrastructure and procedures and nurturing/supporting a strong work ethic from yourself and others in-line with Alpaca’s core values of Curiosity, Global Empathy, and Accountability.
- Create and improve upon a world class execution platform
- Assist in the Firm’s Best-Execution Program by reviewing post-trade exception reports.
- Review Trade Surveillance reports and take appropriate action to resolve alerts
- Monitor order flow for irregularities
- Timely resolution of client trade escalations
- Create/update policies and procedures as needed
- Reconciliation of firm error and inventory accounts
- Risk monitoring/trading of firm held positions
- Maintain firm GTC order book
- Create and drive new initiatives
- Assist the Director of Trading Operations in the execution of firm objective
Ad Hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned
- FINRA Licences:
- Series 7
- Series 57
- Series 24
- Series 63
- Series 4 (able to get in 6 months)
- Experience with both front and back end processes for trading lifecycle (Equity and Options)
- Experience in SQL (willingness to learn)
- Experience creating and maintaining relationships with executing counterparties
- Experience with order quality evaluations including execution and market manipulation testing
- A leader that has a track record of successful team building and creating growth opportunities for their team members
- Prior experience with Financial or FINTech startups
- Prior experience working with international clients
