ABOUT THE POSITION:
The HR Coordinator is an essential member of the HR team, providing exceptional service to employees at all levels of the organization while ensuring accurate, timely, and seamless HR services. The position is based out of our Kent plant and is responsible for providing general HR administrative support, including but not limited to ensuring the accuracy of information in the Human Resources Information System, coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation, maintenance of employee files, coordination of employee communication and HR related programs and events.
SCHEDULE:
- Day Shift
- 8 hours per day 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
WAGE: $26.00 - $28.00
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the Human Resource Information System (ADP) with accurate information, including new hires, status changes, rate changes, terminations, etc.
- Assist with the coordination of new hire orientations.
- Maintain all employee personnel files, ensuring accuracy of active/terminated files and contents; verifies all new hire forms are received and ensure compliance with federal guidelines and company requirements.
- Provide general employee and management support through answering questions pertaining to HR related topics.
- Assist with coordination of employee recognition programs.
- Maintain HR site on company intranet.
- Support the HR team on various projects and/or initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- 1 - 2 years of administrative support experience, Human Resources duties preferred.
- aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems.
- General knowledge of Human Resources processes, state and federal laws, and regulations.
- Microsoft Office computer software applications at a medium to expert user level.
- Must be able to multi-task with ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Acute attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required.
- Maintain discretion in working with confidential information and materials.
- A self-starter who is motivated and able to set and meet deadlines.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with strong emphasis on customer service.
