About the role:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Recruiter to join our growing team. As a key member of the People team, you will own the full-cycle recruiting process for all functions; from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding. Your approach will be pro-active, resulting in an elevated candidate experience, phenomenal hiring manager experience, and smooth onboarding experience for new hires. This job is not for you if you mostly manage inbound traffic on job posts.

This is a high-impact opportunity to make a significant contribution to a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

Key responsibilities:


  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for business and technical roles, from role intake to new employee onboarding.
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify and attract top-tier talent using various channels, including LinkedIn, industry events, networking, etc.
  • Conduct thorough candidate screenings (phone, video, and in-person interviews) to assess skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand their specific needs, define job requirements, and develop effective interview processes. 
  • Partner closely with finance on hiring targets and budgets.
  • Drive the offer process, including negotiating compensation packages and extending offers.
  • Ensure the best candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment lifecycle; timely feedback loops and process updates are required.
  • Track and report on key recruitment metrics in Greenhouse (ATS). Ensure that hiring managers and interview teams are engaging with Greenhouse seamlessly for each process.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in recruiting.
  • Become an expert on Public’s business model and team culture; you will contribute to employer branding initiatives and promote our company as an employer of choice.

What we’re looking for:


  • 5-7 years experience recruiting for high growth organizations
  • A proven track record for successfully identifying, engaging, and hiring top notch talent.
  • Ability to source talent and clearly communicate the benefits of joining Public.com
  • Strong understanding of recruiting best practices
  • Some technology knowledge (different coding languages/technical stacks/terminology)
  • A go getter!

  • Experience working at fintech start up

The base compensation range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000 (plus competitive pre-IPO equity) depending on skills and experience.
