Senior Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite commercial property insurance policies within established guidelines.
• Analyze risk factors and determine appropriate pricing and coverage terms.
• Collaborate with agents, brokers, and internal teams to evaluate risks and develop underwriting strategies.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and emerging risks.
• Develop and improve underwriting policies and procedures.
• Provide mentorship to junior underwriters and assist in complex risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.

Required Experience & Skills

• 4–7+ years in commercial property underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, pricing models, and coverage structures.
• Ability to balance risk management with business growth objectives.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
