The data science team at MCG is looking for a Data Engineer to assist with our work creating state of the art machine learning solutions that improve clinical accuracy and efficiency. Our team works closely with expert clinicians to create the labeled data and knowledgebases on which our models rely. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations that support labeling and knowledge engineering, including sourcing data to label, administering labeling tools, communicating tasks, and tracking progress.

You will:


  • Work to make clinical data sets robust and consumable by building data pipelines on various clinical datasets.

  • Keep data labeling and model training humming by administering internal and external tools using SQL and Python.

  • Implement data quality checks

  • Support ad-hoc analysis across data sources

  • Identify and communicate possible improvements to data sourcing, labeling, and training workflows

What We’re Looking For:


  • The candidate should be able to dive deep into any problems with lots of data ambiguity, ask questions and come up with possible solutions

  • Moderate SQL skills

  • Experience with Python

  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

  • 1+ years of data engineering experience

  • BONUS: Experience with healthcare and clinical data, experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow/Dagster/Flyte), experience with Spark and Databricks

Pay Range:


$108,000-151,000
