Job Description
Workshop is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Analyst to help us drive strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and data-driven insights. We are growing fast and need someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is eager to learn, and loves solving complex problems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 1-3+ years of experience who is ready to make an impact at a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company.
As a Financial Analyst, your responsibilities will span three primary areas:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.Collaborate with accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial close processes.Conduct spend and other financial analysis and assist with ad hoc financial planning tasks.Financial Operations:Manage billing, collections, and customer billing inquiries.Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.Ensure compliance with financial processes and policies.Data Analysis:Report on key SaaS metrics such as ARR, churn, LTV, and CAC, and provide actionable insights.Analyze customer data to uncover trends that support strategic initiatives.Support the creation of dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence (BI) tools.To be successful at this position, you’ll need to:
- Have 1-3+ years of experience in financial analysis, operations, or a similar role.
- Be highly detail-oriented and possess excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Be skilled in data analysis with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be eager to learn and grow.
Bonus points if you:
- Have knowledge or experience with SaaS metrics and financial modeling.
- Are proficient in SQL, Python, or other tools for data analysis.
- Have experience with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Have worked with financial systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks.
- Have experience automating operational tasks to enhance efficiency.
