As our Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of VA database systems. You'll provide expert technical advice and guidance on critical IT issues, interpret IT policies and standards, and work closely with management and technical specialists.Your key responsibilities will include:
- Database Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and tune database performance to optimize efficiency.
- Technical Analysis and Support: Conduct technical analyses of documentation, policies, emerging technologies, and advise on system integrations.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the integrity and security of databases in compliance with federal regulations and standards.
- Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of cloud infrastructures to enhance database solutions. By supporting HCSC-delivered solutions, you'll contribute to projects involving ATO technical support, strategic planning for enterprise systems modernization, and integration between internal and external systems.
Education Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional Experience Requirement
- 3 to 5 years of proven work experience as a Database Administrator, specifically in the healthcare industry.
Technical Expertise Requirement
- Strong knowledge of database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, ETL, and MySQL.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance.
- Experience and knowledge of Cloud Infrastructures.
