Cleared Software Integration Engineer
Bestgate is seeking a highly skilled Software Integration Engineer to develop software tools and services in a PaaS Linux environment. You'll support an on-prem cloud offering with open-source software, utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, Weka, Vault, InfoBlox, and more. This role demands expertise in containerized landlord/tenant environments, focusing on increasing software production efficiency within a DevOps culture.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software.
- OR Five (5) years of full-time, directly related Computer Science work can substitute for a degree, with at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.
- OR An industry-recognized professional certification may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
- OR A Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
- Proficient in using the Linux command-line interface (CLI) for system operations
- Skilled in scripting languages, specifically Bash and Python
- Strong foundational understanding of computing systems, networking, memory management, and storage architectures
- Hands-on experience with containerization platforms, particularly Docker
- Proven capability in managing and monitoring Kubernetes clusters
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and automation tools like Ansible, SaltStack, and Puppet
- Advanced troubleshooting skills, especially for large-scale Linux clusters
- Practical knowledge of system monitoring solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience working with the Atlassian suite, including JIRA and Confluence
- Competence in using Git for version control and collaborative development
- Required Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in deploying Kubernetes applications using Helm
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, particularly with GitLab
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and how to apply them effectively
*Salary Range: $165,000 - $200,000*The provided salary range is an approximation based on current market data and may vary.
