: Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) SpecialistLocation: Springfield, VA - HybridYears of Experience: Mid-Level (3-5 Years)JFL Consulting is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AR/AP Specialist to join our team. The AR/AP Specialist will play a critical role in managing the organization's financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounts receivable and payable processes. This role requires hands-on experience with Unanet software and a strong understanding of financial workflows.Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Unanet software for financial processes
- Proficiency in accounts receivable and accounts payable operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Duties to Include but not Limited to:
- Process and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
- Reconcile invoices, payments, and account discrepancies
- Ensure timely and accurate billing and collection processes
- Prepare and review financial reports related to AR/AP activities
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Unanet
- Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding billing and payments
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve financial discrepancies
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Business, or Management fields
- 3-5 years of experience in AR/AP or related financial roles
- Experience in a government contracting or professional services environment is a plus
- Knowledge of GAAP principles and practices
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Certifications:
- Accounting or finance-related certifications (e.g., Certified Accounts Payable Professional - CAPP, Certified Bookkeeper - CB)
