JOB SUMMARY:
The Payment Operations Analyst, Digital Banking is responsible for delivering exemplary ACH & wire transfer services to our clients. This includes carrying out the daily operational responsibilities of handling payment-related tasks including ACH transactions, wire transfers, and other payment channels as they are launched.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process ACH transactions including high yield savings deposits, CDs, wire transfers, returned and/or rejected transactions, stop payments, research, customer updates and modifications, and origination file monitoring
- Approve transaction exceptions within delegated approval authority
- Monitor, research, and resolve unposted items
- Balancing incoming/outgoing transactions daily
- Process adjustment and dispute requests
- Research transaction and account inquiries
- Research and resolve wire validation errors, wire rejects, audit exceptions, audit requests, compliance requests, accounting reconciliation questions, customer wire inquires, and wire subpoena requests
- Comply with all bank policies, audit standards, regulatory mandates, and all required compliance training
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
- 3+ years of bank and payment operations experience required
- Prior item/check/payment processing experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of ACH processing and Nacha rules/regulations, and wire transfer functions required
- Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP), and/or National Check Professional (NCP) certifications highly desired
- Knowledge of automated wire transfer software including Alacriti and FedLine highly preferred
- Functional knowledge/understanding of accounting concepts and process preferred
- Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Proficiency in the use of PC software tools for reports, audits, and analysis
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to establish positive working relationships and collaboration across the organization
- Proven skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment to ensure that deadlines are met
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work extended hours if needed, and with minimal supervision
SCHEDULE
- 8:30am - 5pm EST
- Hybrid: 2x/week in our Chevy Chase, MD HQ office
- Rotate each week: Monday & Wednesday (12pm -9pm EST); Thursday and Friday (12pm - 9pm EST)
The pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. $60,000 (entry level qualifications) to $69,000 (highly experienced).
