Obran Health is seeking an experienced HR Senior Executive to lead our BPO in Ahmedabad. As the sole HR leader in our office, you will be responsible for developing and executing on a comprehensive HR strategy and associated practices to ensure that our team has the tools, resources, and support needed to thrive in their roles.Obran Health is a worker-owned cooperative. Our Ahmedabad-based team of ~40 Team Leads and Process Executives plays a critical role in executing efficient and accurate daily back office operations.
The work of this team enables our two California-based Home Healthcare Agencies to care for a high volume of patients and provide an exceptional patient experience, supporting critical functions like Intake, Scheduling, Front Desk, Authorization, Supplies, Orders, Billing, and Quality Assurance. As the HR Senior Executive, you will oversee the development and implementation of HR initiatives across our organization, building policies and practices that align with our commitment to democratic participation and equity. Your ability to align HR functions with organizational strategy will be paramount in promoting employee satisfaction and retention and to ensuring the success of our business and the services we provide to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support the overall business goals and foster a culture of ownership and accountability.
- Manage recruitment processes to attract a diverse pool of top talent, ensuring a seamless candidate experience, including interviewing and onboarding
- Lead performance management and employee development initiatives to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
- Manage sensitive HR issues, like Performance Improvement Plans, interpersonal challenges, sexual harassment concerns, and terminations.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on HR best practices, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee the administration of compensation, benefits, and rewards programs to ensure competitive and equitable offerings.
- Serve as a leader of company culture
- Facilitate training and development programs aimed at enhancing employee skills and building a robust workforce.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date employee records and documentation.
- Act as a change agent to support organizational transformation and continuous improvement efforts.
- Serve as a liaison to the office landlord, local vendors, and Obran Health's US-based team

Requirements
- Non-negotiable: Comfort and ability to work the full night shift on site with the team (10pm-7am or 9pm-6am, depending on Daylight Savings Time)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, and performance management. Prefer experience in a BPO context.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations in India.
- Proficient in HR software and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building relationships.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with data analysis and metrics to drive HR decision-making.
