So, what’s the role?
In this role, you’ll oversee a team of three HR Business Partners and work closely with leadership across Kin to drive people-focused initiatives. Whether it's guiding organizational change, coaching managers, or navigating complex employee relations, you’ll be a trusted partner in shaping a thriving workplace.As a key member of the People team, you’ll help develop and implement initiatives spanning performance management, employee engagement, diversity, equity & inclusion, system implementations, and organizational development.
Along with leading the HRBP team, you’ll also support your client groups across operations and corporate functions.
A day in the life could include:
- Guiding and developing a team of HR Business Partners, ensuring they’re empowered and equipped to support their organizations effectively.
- Collaborating with department leaders to strengthen their teams, enhance the employee experience, and support organizational growth.
- Serve as the go-to expert for employee relations matters, handling escalations and providing strategic counsel.
- Partnering with Learning & Development to design and implement talent programs that drive growth and retention.
- Refining and enhancing our performance management process to ensure clear goals and impactful feedback.
- Leading cross-functional People team initiatives, bringing structure and execution excellence to key HR projects.
- Proactively identify workforce trends and provide data-backed recommendations to leadership.
I’ve got the skills… but do I have the necessary ones?
- 8+ years of HR experience, including at least 5 years as an HR Business Partner.
- 3+ years of experience managing a small team of HR professionals.
- Strong background in employee relations, including handling investigations and performance management.
- Experience supporting high-growth teams and navigating organizational changes.
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership to drive HR strategies and improve team performance.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly at all levels.
- Experience designing and implementing HR programs, such as performance management and leadership development.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Workday or similar HR systems.
- Knowledge of compensation planning and workforce analytics.
