The 1916 Company’s vibrant community extends from coast to coast and around the world. Service DepartmentOur work in the after-sales service department at The 1916 Company is to aid our customers in finding the best possible solution to their jewelry and watch issues by advising them and offering a trusting and comfortable environment. By paying attention to detail and managing multiple tasks at one time, after-sales service employees are expected to relay information to our customers in a comprehensive and understandable way. We understand that our customers’ items are precious and, in some cases, irreplaceable.

We rely on repeat customers, so we are aware of how important it is to be helpful, efficient, and provide the most satisfying experience possible. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in luxury retail, automotive dealerships, or hospitality.Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and properly type up repair tickets using our POS system for jewelry and watch services while explaining The 1916 company pricing and timeline to the client.

  • Perform basic jewelry repairs and services including jewelry cleaning, watch bracelet sizing, changing watch straps and battery changes.

  • Complete quality control on all finished repairs for both jewelry and watches.

  • Communicate with multiple jewelry and watch vendors daily.

  • Calculate vendor estimates and verbally deliver to appropriate customer.

  • Prepare, process, and ship out jewelry and watch items that need servicing to suitable vendors.

  • Collaboratively work within a team environment to provide elevated customer service to our clients.

  • Communicate and follow up with customers weekly with updates on their active repair(s).

  • Assist sales associates with repair issues.

Minor Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Morning and evening jewelry (and watch) placement and retrieval within specific showcases.

  • Answering phones and direct a call to the specific sales associate.

Qualifications/ Skills:

  • At least 2 years of previous experience in luxury retail, jewelry and watch repair; luxury hospitality environment; or luxury automobile dealerships (New Hires will receive one-on-one on the job training)

  • General knowledge, or interest, of jewelry and watches.

  • Must be able to multi-task while still providing exceptional customer service.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.

  • Must be able to work retail hours including weekends and some holidays.

  • Excellent communication while working within a team environment.

  • All candidates will be subject to complete background check before hire
