By providing our suppliers and customers with streamlined services, they are able to focus on their core business.Position Overview:The Senior Logistics Analyst will play a key role in supporting Tricon’s US Logistics Department, working closely with the liquid chemicals US distribution Sales Team. This position focuses on managing and improving logistics operations, including inventory management, transportation coordination, and supply chain optimization. The Senior Logistics Analyst will ensure the accurate scheduling and dispatch of shipments while maintaining real-time data integrity within Tricon's systems.
This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including sales, transportation providers, and other internal departments, to deliver superior customer service and drive efficiency in supply chain processes.
Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Sales team to monitor and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Coordinate with transportation providers, including railroads, truck hauliers, and barge operators, to ensure the timely and efficient movement of shipments.
- Negotiate competitive pricing with service providers while maintaining high service standards.
Shipment Management:
- Track and oversee all shipment movements, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure accurate scheduling and timely dispatch of all shipments.
- Review sales orders and shipping documents for accuracy, making special arrangements as necessary.
Customer Support:
- Provide responsive support to customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate channels.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving shipping errors swiftly.
- Maintain communication with customers regarding shipment statuses and requirements.
Process Improvement and Data Management:
- Develop and implement processes to optimize supply chain efficiency and organization.
- Maintain accurate, real-time records of all sales and shipments in Tricon systems.
- Work with internal teams to ensure customers are KYC-compliant and have undergone necessary credit checks before shipment.
Quality Assurance and Reporting:
- Prepare bills and invoices accurately, ensuring compliance with service quality standards.
- Identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
Education:
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in railcar/truck scheduling and logistics, with knowledge of domestic US barge operations being a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Skills:
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to address client needs effectively.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency with Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing logistical challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information for various stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently under time constraints while maintaining high accuracy.
