Your Impact
We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager of Hardware Development to oversee critical hardware development activities at our facilities in Sterling and Ohio. This role will ensure the success of customized hardware projects, serve as the local point of contact for operations, sales, and product management, and take ownership of responsibilities related to risk mitigation, including identifying, managing, and implementing effective strategies. The position reports to the Director of Hardware Development, based in Germany.

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of hardware engineers focused on mitigation product development.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment while maintaining accountability and efficiency.
- Oversee team resource planning, training, and development to maintain technical and professional growth.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance to ensure team success.
- Align team activities with company goals and global strategies.
- Technical Expertise:
- Act as the local expert in drone mitigation for hardware development projects, ensuring potential risks are identified and addressed.
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of hardware solutions with robust mitigation strategies in place.
- Collaborate with global teams to share knowledge and enhance technical and operational mitigation practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in hardware development.
- Proactively manage technical challenges and implement risk avoidance measures in hardware systems.
- Project Execution and Success:
- Lead the successful execution of hardware development projects in Sterling and Ohio, with a focus on counter drone measures.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance and quality standards.
- Identify project risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Responsible for product introductions and change management of existing products.
- Compliance and Security:
- Handle ITAR-restricted topics and ensure compliance with U.S. export control regulations.
- Maintain active or eligible security clearance and oversee secure handling of sensitive information.
- Develop and enforce protocols to protect intellectual property and ensure data security.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory challenges.
- Monitor and manage all compliance-related activities, ensuring adherence to federal and company requirements.
What You Bring:
- U.S. citizenship with active or eligible security clearance.
- Proven leadership experience in hardware development, with expertise in risk management and mitigation.
- Understanding of ITAR compliance and export control regulations.
- Technical background in hardware engineering, with experience in transmitter design.
- Strong skills in risk analysis and implementing mitigation strategies in regulated environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
