What You’ll Do:
- Design, implement, and deliver storage offerings for our GPU cloud
- Operate, monitor, and optimize our current storage offerings
- Troubleshoot and fix storage issues
- Evaluate and work with storage vendors to offer solutions
- Work closely with other engineering departments to deliver storage solutions via APIs
- Occasional travel to Lambda Datacenters to assist with new installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of storage arrays.
You Have:
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale multi-petabyte storage production environments
- A strong understanding of diverse storage solutions and their ecosystems:
- File, Block, and Object storage systems
- Storage Protocols such as NFS, iSCSI, NVMe-oF/TCP
- InfiniBand, GPUDirect Storage, NFSoRDMS, parallel file systems, NVMVe
- Encryption, storage security, and multi-tenancy strategies
- Backup and data protections
- 5+ years of experience in Python or GoLang
- 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes, including CSI and CNI’s
- Strong understanding of public cloud features (e.g., SDN, block storage, distributed file systems, identity management)
- Experience deploying, operating, and maintaining Ceph
- Have implemented either open-source or commercial monitoring solutions of storage and storage-adjacent solutions
Salary Range Information
Based on market data and other factors, the annual salary range for this position is $285,000 - $440,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
