Hybrid Work Model


At Assent, we proudly embrace a remote-first work model, valuing the flexibility and autonomy it provides our team. We also acknowledge the intangible benefits of occasional in-person workdays. For team members situated within 50 kms/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office at least one day a week. Similarly, those near our co-working spaces in Nairobi and Toronto are encouraged to work onsite once a month.

Job Description


We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Virtual Events Manager to take ownership of our webinar strategy and execution. This role will manage the strategy, planning, and execution of a robust webinar program tailored to engage our distinct audiences: customers, prospects, and suppliers. The Virtual Events Manager will play a critical role in aligning webinar content and strategy with broader marketing campaigns and key regulatory announcements, ensuring that webinars drive pipeline generation, audience engagement, and brand awareness.This role requires a combination of strategic planning and operational excellence, as well as a deep understanding of how webinars support overall marketing goals.Key Responsibilities1.

Webinar Strategy and Calendar Management:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive annual webinar calendar that aligns with marketing campaigns, audience needs, and regulatory announcements.
  • Tailor webinar topics and content to meet the distinct interests and needs of customers, prospects, and suppliers at various stages of the customer journey.
  • Utilize AI tools to enhance webinar execution, streamline operations, and scale audience engagement through data-driven insights and automated processes.

2. Webinar Execution:

  • Manage end-to-end webinar production, including topic selection, speaker coordination, content creation, registration setup, live event management, and post-event follow-up.
  • Ensure flawless execution of webinars by managing all technical logistics, including webinar platforms, audience engagement tools, and troubleshooting.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Product Marketing, Regulatory SMEs, Content Marketing, and Integrated Campaigns teams to align webinar topics with marketing goals and regulatory priorities.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to promote webinars and ensure they have the tools and messaging needed for effective follow-up.

4. Performance Tracking and Optimization:

  • Analyze webinar performance metrics, including attendance rates, audience engagement, and lead conversion, to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously optimize the webinar program through data-driven insights and experimentation with formats, topics, and delivery methods.

5. Audience Engagement and Experience:

  • Create engaging webinar experiences by leveraging creative formats, dynamic speakers, and interactive elements.
  • Ensure webinar content reflects the company’s values and mission while addressing audience pain points and interests.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Events Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing webinars or virtual events, preferably in B2B marketing.
  • Proven ability to manage webinar programs that drive measurable results, including lead generation and pipeline acceleration.
  • Strong technical expertise in webinar platforms (e.g., Goldcast, Zoom) and marketing automation tools (e.g., Pardot).
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner across teams and levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for delivering impactful virtual experiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to evolving priorities.
