AnthroMed is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced School Social Worker to join our team!! This position begins ASAP until May 28th, 2025. This Social Worker will work closely with young children, teachers, and families, providing consultative support and contributing to play-based assessments. This school is a vibrant learning community dedicated to fostering the academic, social, and emotional growth of young children. Our team is passionate about supporting early learners in a nurturing, play-based environment.
We pride ourselves on our strong team dynamics, including a dual-language program, supportive paraprofessionals, and a collaborative SPED team.Key Responsibilities:- Provide social work support for early childhood students through consultative services, collaborating with teachers to address social-emotional needs and behaviors.- Support play-based assessments, working with students in a variety of developmental contexts.- Work collaboratively with the school’s dual-language program and paraprofessionals to ensure the success of all students.- Support a portion of the classrooms, in coordination with the school psychologist and another social worker.- Assist with the development of individualized interventions and programs based on student needs.
Caseload Information:
- The social worker position does not have a formal caseload, as the majority of students receive consultative services. However, the social worker will collaborate closely with teachers and staff to monitor and support students’ social-emotional development.- Another social worker is already on staff, and responsibilities are shared in the building.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in school social work or eligibility to obtain one.-IDFPR License
