Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Principal Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, India. As a Principal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our organization, leading complex projects, and mentoring other engineers.
- Architect and design scalable, high-performance software systems
- Lead the development of complex, large-scale projects from conception to deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Establish best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines
- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality across projects
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve our tech stack
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and methodologies
- Represent the engineering team in high-level discussions with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 14+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 6 years in a senior technical leadership role
- Extensive experience with advanced programming languages such as Java or Python.
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture
- Strong background in distributed systems, system design, and scalability solutions
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver large-scale, complex projects
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and Agile methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
- Expertise in system architecture and design patterns
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus
