Day in the Life of a Human Resources Associate
As a Human Resources Associate, you will become established as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to ensure the quality of HR services at Neocol in Uruguay. You will be an internal subject matter on benefits, payroll and onboarding.
Human Resource Associate Responsibilities
- Creation of contracts and termination documents: Neocol currently utilizes its own documents for these purposes. We need to review these documents and, if necessary, create updated versions that align with the Uruguayan Hiring model. This is crucial to safeguard Neocol’s interests when hiring or terminating contractors.
- Support the onboarding path: Currently, there is a predefined onboarding process in place. The new HR Associate will be responsible for executing this process as established, ensuring that all new hires follow the structured onboarding and learning program for their first months at the company. Additionally, they must be available to support junior hires during their initial months of training.
- Recruitment in Uruguay: The HR team in Uruguay is responsible for sourcing and presenting candidates to the company. The HR Associate will assist in sourcing candidates, conducting initial screenings, and ensuring that candidates meet the necessary qualifications to proceed with the hiring process. Additionally, the HR Associate will support the recruitment process by maintaining recruitment protocols, moving candidates through the stages, and ensuring a smooth flow throughout the interview process.
- Office supplies management: UY HR is responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of office supplies for the contractors. They will establish agreements with suppliers for regular deliveries.
- Fostering a common working culture: UY HR will facilitate the integration of the current Neocol working culture to ensure that everyone in Uruguay feels like a part of the larger organization.
- After-Office events and Neocol Day (Once per week): The HR Associate will provide support in organizing these events. Neocol Day, occurring weekly, is a low-cost event and does not require additional approval. Larger events, such as the end-of-year party, will involve coordination between UY HR and US HR for necessary arrangements.
- Device tracking: UY HR will implement a device tracking system to maintain an organized and transparent record of device assignments and technical services.
- Contractor Survey Reporting: The HR Associate will be responsible for extracting data from contractor surveys and preparing it for presentation to the managers. This includes compiling feedback to provide insights on contractor satisfaction and identify any potential risks related to retention.
- Emergency Contact Data Management: The HR Associate will be responsible for collecting and maintaining up-to-date personal data from employees for emergency situations. This includes ensuring that contact information is accurate and accessible when needed
- Employee Invoice Management: The HR Associate will be responsible for collecting employee invoices and ensuring they are properly uploaded into the system. This includes verifying the invoices and maintaining organized records for easy access and reference.
- Notices for the UY team: UY HR will be responsible for creating and communicating all Uruguay-specific notices to the entire team through channels such as Slack.
- Building and Managing Internal Teams: Help form and oversee internal teams, encouraging teamwork and good communication among members. This includes making sure teams align with the company's goals.
