Job Summary:
Work for a world class kitchen operation serving professional athletes! Under the direction of the Director of Culinary, the Catering Cook will be responsible for the preparation and cooking for catering orders, according to KitchFix standards.
*Starting at $20/hour, based on experience*
**This is a full-time, seasonal position--starts mid-March - end of September, depending on post seasons for the Cubs and White Sox""
- Must have weekend availability
- Full-time hours during the baseball season (mid-March-end of September 2025)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items and ingredients needed for catering menu items according to prescribed recipes and special requests in a high-volume kitchen
- Produce delicious and well-executed food that aligns with the nutritional mission
- Maintain the highest standards for food safety and cleanliness
- Be a participant in an active and well-organized production kitchen
- Positively contribute to the work environment and make every effort to improve each day
Requirements:
- Experience working in high-volume food production
- Able to stand and work with your hands for 8 hours at a time
- Possess a strong sense of urgency
- Strong knife skills
- Experience with large batch cooking
- Possess a team-oriented approach to problem-solving
- Show a willingness to learn from others
- Spanish fluency is a plus
Work Schedule:
- Must have weekend availability
- Typically morning shifts- start times as early as 5:00am, until as late as 5:00pm
Work Requirements:
- Able to stand and work with your hands for 8 hours at a time
- Food Handlers Certificate or Manager Card and Allergen certificate
- Reliable transportation to get to work
