This role is directly responsible for leading functional areas from supply planning, production scheduling, milk planning, to materials planning teams in all our production facilities as well as the supply planning needs of co-manufacturing operations. This role will work cross functionally with key members of operations, warehousing, transportation, demand planning, network supply planning, customer service, finance, and commercial teams in order to ensure the strategic priorities of the business are met and executed. This role will drive value by ensuring the planning team develops an efficient and optimal production schedule/plan built to ensure target customer service levels are met and exceeded.

responsibilities:


  • Lead the supply planning teams at the fairlife production facilities and co-manufacturing sites across our supply chain operation inclusive of production planning, milk planning, inventory deployment planning, and raw materials planning functions.
  • Own plant capacity reviews, supply reviews and support cross-functional S&OP and S&OE processes.
  • Mentor and develop a team of planning managers and supply planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, ownership, partnership, and curiosity.
  • Direct and oversee the execution of supply chain planning strategies to meet business and operational objectives, ensuring inventory levels and costs are maintained to target.
  • Partner with Demand Planning, Customer Service and Distribution Planning to align production schedules to customer orders, allocation targets, and forecasted demand.
  • Own end-to-end supply planning for all co-manufacturing facilities within the fairlife network, provide guidance on production plans, deployment strategy, and drive accountability for production schedule attainment and quality adherence.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities across supply planning processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and uphold best-in-class planning principles.
  • Partner with Operations Leadership to ensure plans our conducive to production efficiency, operating capabilities and are aligned to our supply chain and operations strategy.
  • Coordinate and lead weekly/monthly alignment meetings between the planning team, transportation, warehousing, operations, and customer service.
  • Drive continual improvements of current tools, processes, and reporting, including owning and developing new tools to drive fairlife’s extraordinary growth.
  • Refine information systems configurations/settings to drive a more integrated supply planning and material resource management system.
  • Work with planning team members to ensure plans are in sync across all plants – act as backup in key areas for team members as required.
  • Demonstrate value through leadership, detailed and innovative approach along with proactive communications.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and sound judgment in all situations.

skills/qualifications required:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience required.
  • 3-5 yeas of progression in leadership / people management required.
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Experience leading supply chain planning teams across multiple locations.
  • Experience mentoring individuals and building teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Programming (SQL/Python) and Data Visualization (PowerBI) strongly preferred
  • Network Design experience preferred but not required
  • Dynamics 365 experience preferred but not required
  • Anaplan experience a plus
