Special Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required (required by federal government for position), ability to obtain a CBP clearance
- Bachelor’s degree +3 years of experience
- At least 2 years of experience developing Java applications and associated frameworks
- At least 1 year of development experience using JavaScript and/or JavaScript frameworks like Angular
- At least 2 years of experience working in a story-based Agile team development environment using JIRA or a similar tool
- Strong database skills
- Experience with REST and/or SOAP based APIs consumption and creation
- Experience working with JavaScript, HTML5, and/or jQuery
- Cloud Experience (AWS Preferred)
The Gist…
Our Mid-Level Fullstack Developer will have a strong background in systems, software, cloud, and Agile development to support a mission-critical program. This role requires expertise in Java and JavaScript development, database management, and API integration, along with experience in cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
What Your Day Might Include…
- Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java (Spring Framework) and JavaScript (Angular, jQuery, HTML5).
- Agile Collaboration: Work within a story-based Agile team, participating in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives while tracking progress in JIRA.
- API Development & Integration: Create and consume REST and SOAP APIs to support seamless system communication.
- Database Management: Utilize strong database skills to design, query, and optimize relational databases.
- Cloud-Based Development: Work with AWS (preferred) or other cloud platforms to deploy, manage, and scale applications.
- Automated Testing & CI/CD: Implement automated tests using Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, and manage builds with Gradle or Maven.
- DevOps & Continuous Delivery: Leverage Jenkins, Bamboo, or Harness to streamline deployment pipelines.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure systems meet federal security requirements, including obtaining CBP clearance.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Follow coding standards, conduct peer reviews, and optimize application performance.
Requirements
