We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Senior Software Engineer. This position is with a small, established team based in the DFW area, offering a collaborative and relaxed work environment that fosters innovation. The primary workplace for this position is Aechelon Technology’s Farmer's Branch, TX location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for developing and maintaining application-level software that simulates airborne radar systems and other sensors for use in a variety of training devices. The software is written in the C++ programming language on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Responsible for performing tasks related to the following areas:
o Software Design o Software Implementation o Technical Documentationo Team Collaborationo Customer Interactiono Software Integration and Testingo Task Planning and Schedule Estimating
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
- 5+ years of experience in software development using C/C++.
- Strong understanding of real-time application programming.
- Expertise in cross-platform development (Windows & Linux).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong foundation in mathematics and physics.
- Ability to work with export-controlled technology
DESIRED COMPENTENCIES:
- Technical Expertise:
o Strong foundation in mathematics and physics.o Knowledge of radar technology and signal processing.o Experience with OpenGL and graphics application programming.o Background in real-time, multi-processing systems.o Familiarity with tools for geographic data processing (e.g., KML, vector files, digital elevation models, satellite imagery).- Development Tools & Practices:
o Experience with defect tracking systems (Bugzilla, Jira).o Proficiency with configuration management tools (Perforce, Git).o Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.- Industry Experience:
o Prior experience in the training and simulation industry.o Willingness to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
