If so, we want YOU to join the Corporate Communications team this summer.As a Corporate Communications Intern, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact and gain hands-on experience by working on a variety of projects that align with the department and company's goals, including internal and external communications content development, media relations, communications planning and research, and social media.This internship presents a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to gain experience in a dynamic corporate environment, contributing to the success of Group 1001.

The position is based in our Zionsville, IN, office.

Main Accountabilities:


  • Write corporate communications materials for internal and external audiences to engage employees and amplify brand awareness
  • Assist with the content buildout of the website including layout, writing, and researching best practices
  • Support media relations functions, including editing releases, writing media pitches, and building media lists
  • Assist with social media content, strategy, and execution to engage Group 1001’s audience and promote its initiatives
  • Develop and implement communication plans for a variety of internal and external initiatives

  • Collect analytics on content performance and recommend actionable ideas and strategies
  • Collaborate with the team on new ideas and tools to enhance communications, brand awareness, and employee engagement

Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate students completing their sophomore or junior year in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or similar fields
  • Availability to work full-time hours over the summer
  • Strong written and communication skills are a must
  • Familiar with AP style guidelines
  • Ability to think creatively and to share ideas
  • Social media savvy with platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex information to others
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on the quality of deliverables
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Familiar with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
