Our Systems Integration team is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to help support our mission. The Systems Software Engineer is a position that requires both integration and software engineering skill sets. The Integration Software Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining a set of integration tools as well as working with prime contractors and end-users to integrate our industry-leading, Image Generators (IGs) into trainers and simulators. The primary workplace for this position is a home office, with an anticipated 10-30% travel outside of the job location area.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Responsible for the design, development and support of host integration dlls (primarily, but not limited to, the CIGI dll)
- Responsible for the design, development and support of integration tools and utilities
- Work with Aechelon Systems Engineering (SE) team members to assess needs for new tools and utilities
- As needed, support the integration of IGs to simulators and trainers at customer and end-user sites
- Track and resolve bugs associated with host integration dlls and tools
- Interface with Aechelon SE and SW engineering teams to constantly improve the quality, performance and capabilities of Aechelon tools and host integration dlls
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical field
- 5+ years of experience in SW development and/or SW integration for real-time, flight simulators, display systems or similar fields
- Experience with the integration and support of Image Generators (IGs)
- Experience with C, C++ and Python programming
- Experience with image generator ICDs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- MS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical field
- 8+ years of experience in SW development or SW integration
- Knowledge of CIGI interface programming
- Strong C, C++ and Python programming skills
- Experience with PC-based IGs
- Proficiency with scripting languages: Powershell, Python, Lua
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Experience with defect tracking systems such as Bugzilla or Jira
- Experience with Configuration Management (CM) systems such as Perforce or Razor
- Experience with GUI SDKs such as Qt
$100,000 - $140,000 a yearThe pay scale for this role is between $100,000 - $140,000.
