Job Description:


ASG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join one of our Department of Defense (DoD) contract. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in managing complex IT engineering and big data projects, utilizing modern program management methodologies such as Agile, DevSecOps, and AI/MLOps in a military or government setting. The Senior Project Manager will track and report personnel utilization and budget across the Search portfolio & will engage with both CDAO members and cross-organizational teams within the DoD to ensure successful project execution and collaboration.

The position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a proven track record in ensuring project success in high-stakes, classified environments.

What You Will Do:


  • Lead and manage complex IT engineering and big data projects for DoD and other government clients, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Employ Agile, DevSecOps, and AI/MLOps methodologies to ensure efficient project execution and delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams, coordinate efforts across departments, and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders within the organization and across DoD entities.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring that all milestones, deliverables, and deadlines are met.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, track personnel utilization, and provide comprehensive reports on financial performance.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of project specifications, requirements, and regulatory compliance for government and defense projects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including CDAO (Chief Data and Analytics Officer) teams and DoD cross-organizational partners.
  • Utilize project management tools to track and report on aggregated personnel utilization and budget usage across multiple projects within the portfolio.
  • Ensure projects adhere to security protocols and maintain a secure working environment in compliance with DoD standards.
  • Support proposal development activities, working closely with leadership and team members to craft competitive, clear, and compliant proposals for government contracts.

Requirements

What We Need:


  • Master of Business and Management (MBM), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), (OR) a master’s degree in a related technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics) and 5 years of experience (OR) a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in managing complex projects in an IT engineering or big data environment. 
  • A minimum of five years of experience managing projects utilizing nontraditional program management methodologies (e.g., Agile) in big data, AI/MLOps, and DevSecOps environments. 
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a military or other Government environment performing in a related subject area (e.g., project management, engineering, or computer science). 
  • Ability to track and report aggregated personnel utilization and budget usage across the Search portfolio. 
  • Strong communications skills: Ability to proactively engage fellow CDAO members within and beyond the team as well as DoD cross-organizational communications. 

Certifications:


  • Possess an active certification in one of the following:  Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional, PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification, or equivalent program or project management certification.

Clearance Required:


  • US Citizenship required.
  • Possess a minimum of an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
