This role will be responsible for performing quality assurance inspections, sampling, and reviews, as well as documenting and reporting results.Requirements

  • Support Quality Management functions including inspections, testing, and Nonconformance investigation activities per Inspection & Test Plans and FAT Procedures. 
  • Perform mechanical and electrical inspection & tests and record findings. 
  • Ensure feedback loop communication from production (shop floor) manufacturing to Project Engineers and Project Management is maintained, including continuous improvement actions. 
  • Investigate issues impacting quality to identify corrective action and ensure implementation is effective. 
  • Assist with Quality Assurance Specialist with procedure and work instructions development & updates. 
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct Quality System internal process audits.
  • Participate in internal & external audits (customer audits), and ISO surveillance/recertification audit by registrar.
  • Ensure the calibration log is up-to-date and coordinate calibration activities.
  • Support project quality requirement through site inspections.
  • Coordinate with construction and engineering teams to resolve any Building (EEC) and Electrical related issues and discrepancies identified during inspections.
  • Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports on the status of I&E QA/QC activities, including non-conformities and corrective actions taken.
  • Ensure that all necessary testing equipment and tools are available, calibrated, and functioning correctly.
  • Witness and validate the testing and commissioning of I&E systems prior to final acceptance and handover.
  • Collaborate with safety personnel to ensure that all I&E work is conducted in a safe manner and adheres to safety standards.
  • Manage and maintain inspection records and quality assurance documentation to support project quality records and certification packages.
  • Gather records for quality Turnover Package Submission
  • Attend required and refresher training related to company requirements.
  • Must comply with all safety and company rules and regulations.

Skill Requirements


  • Intermediate computer skills required – Microsoft Office experience, Word, Excel, Teams. 
  • Candidate should be able to read and understand electrical schematic and mechanical drawings. 
  • Adaptability to changes in the work environment, delays, unexpected events, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution systems and testing methods (SWGR, MCC, SWBDS, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation engineering principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&ID’s, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as ANSI, ASTM, ASME, NEMA, API, and NEC.
  • Experience with inspection of electrical and instrumentation installations, including wiring, switchgear, control panels, and associated equipment.
  • Proficiency in using various measurement and test equipment for electrical and instrumentation inspection.
  • Ability to manage and maintain inspection documentation and quality records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with project teams and contractors.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.

Required Education and Experience


  • 3 or more years’ experience as a Quality Inspector, Testing Technician, or Production Process Lead in a facility with a certified QMS (ISO 9001, API, etc.)
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • American Society for Quality, Certified Quality Control Inspector (CQI) preferred.
