Special Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree and min of 10 years of experience leading/ supporting business development and capture.
  • Ability to cultivate new and existing relationships.
  • Must be able to travel to the Reston, VA office 3x per week.
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, contract vehicles, and business development best practices.

The Gist…


As the Federal Growth Lead, you will drive Amivero’s expansion into unrestricted federal contracting opportunities by developing and executing growth strategies in close collaboration with the CEO. Leading business development efforts, you will cultivate and strengthen relationships with federal government contacts, industry partners, and vendors, ensuring strategic alignment across sales engineers, the delivery team, and leadership to expand Amivero’s federal footprint. This role requires a high-energy, strategic thinker who excels in relationship-building, business development, and data-driven decision-making, overseeing strategic partnerships, acquisitions, market positioning, and pipeline management to drive measurable revenue growth and long-term success. Requirements

What Your Day Might Include…


  • Develop and execute a roadmap to transition Amivero to unrestricted federal contracting status.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value bids that align with this goal.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with major industry partners to strengthen teaming opportunities.
  • Ensure the CEO’s expertise is leveraged without her being the primary point of contact.
  • Research potential acquisition targets that accelerate Amivero’s unrestricted transition.
  • Analyze risks, benefits, and timing to ensure strategic alignment with company growth objectives.
  • Monitor competitor strategies, assess market shifts, and develop tactics to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Partner with COP/Tech team leads to ensure Amivero stays ahead in technology and solutions.
  • Use pipeline insights to make data-driven decisions on sponsorships, branding, and resource allocation.
  • Assess new federal account opportunities and enforce strategic alignment within existing portfolios.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key federal agencies and industry partners.
  • Ensure clear and strategic communication of contract wins internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to anticipate solution needs and position Amivero ahead of RFPs.
  • Allocate resources strategically to maximize business development success.
  • Maintain a consistent and usable pipeline for accurate forecasting and decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop team members while holding them accountable to strategic goals.
  • Identify inefficiencies, streamline operations, and ensure process adherence.
  • Implement structured approvals and workflows to manage decision-making efficiently.
  • Maintain Amivero’s industry reputation by guiding Teaming Agreements, Joint Ventures, and CTAs.
  • Oversee consultant and vendor relationships to ensure alignment with growth objectives.
  • Stay ahead of changing GWAC policies and make strategic decisions on contract vehicles in real-time.
  • Evaluate opportunities and drive data-driven qualification and capture decisions.
  • Define and enforce Teaming Agreements, workshare structures, and pricing methodologies.
  • Ensure pricing strategies are executed consistently (without needing direct pricing expertise).
  • Serve as the tie-breaker on growth vs. operations decisions to maintain strategic alignment.
  • Provide strategic guidance on growth initiatives that require technical or operational input.
  • Lead strategic teaming, capture execution, and enforcement of decision-making frameworks to support Amivero’s growth goals.

  • Ability to cultivate new and existing partner relationships
  • Must be able to travel to the Reston, VA office 3x per week
  • Demonstrated ability to align with Amivero’s Human-Centered & Data-Driven philosophy while maintaining a strong industry reputation.
  • Demonstrated success in winning federal contracts and managing full-lifecycle business development processes.
  • Experience that demonstrates the ability to build and maintain industry alliances, fostering strategic partnerships and government relationships.
  • Proven expertise in balancing team, company, and bid-level strategies to drive long-term business growth.
  • Experience that demonstrates the ability to deliver polished, persuasive presentations to C-suite executives and government leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to make quick, strategic decisions, enforce accountability, and drive execution.
  • Proven success in networking and relationship-building, with the ability to cultivate and expand key industry and government connections.
  • Experience that demonstrates the ability to manage escalation points efficiently, ensuring streamlined decision-making and operational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to take direction from the CEO while driving independent decision-making in growth-related initiatives.
  • Experience that demonstrates the ability to work in fast-paced, high-stakes business environments, ensuring strategic alignment and measurable results.
