Opportunity:
TAYS is seeking an experienced, high performing ETL Developer to join our dynamic team! Your unique perspective will help us to solve complex problems, and we welcome your ideas. The ideal candidate will be a Database Developer with expertise in ETL scripting, Unix shell scripting, and Python. This position is based in Woodlawn, MD, and requires an experienced multi-tasker with robust analytical, problem-solving, communication and people skills.
*This is a Full-Time position and will consist of a hybrid schedule. The ETL Developermust reside within 2 hours of Woodlawn, MD.*
Primary Responsibilities:
- Experience working with complex data warehouse projects
- Design custom ETL processes to populate the data warehouse
- Analyze source data for potential data quality issues and address these issues
- Use scripting (Shell scripting, python, Java) and automation and DevOps
- Prepare technical documents and presentations
- Utilize Atlassian product suites, git, bitbucket, confluence, Jira
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience with SQL, SQL Server, and/or PL/pgSQL.
- Expert in Shell scripting including but not limited to regular expressions and automating tasks
- Experience creating custom ETL using Python
- High-level knowledge of various industry leading data warehouse components (databases, ETL tools, BI/reporting tools)
- Experience in scripting (Shell scripting, python, Java) and automation
- Experience with DevOps
- Familiarity with Atlassian product suites: Git, BitBucket, Confluence, Jira
- High availability to support On-Call rotations for 24/7 Production database environment
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Ansible scripting
- Experience with cloud environment (AWS)
- Database Administration (DBA) skills
- Basic knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle)
- Active Public Trust or higher
